I was privileged to watch as these owlets took their first steps from the nest. They were awaiting food from their parents as usual when impatience, enthusiasm or curiosity got the better of them and they ventured out together onto the tree branch beyond the nest. The smaller of the two affectionately stuck to sibling’s side as the latter seemed to cast a look of familial pride over his adorably diminutive sibling.
