Walking through a summer marsh in Hokkaido, I passed right next to a relaxing fox. He suddenly raised his head, starling me as I thought I'd startled him. However, he wasn't at all interested in me! His attention was focused somewhere else entirely and he didn't seem to even notice me. I didn't dare breath as I snapped a few quick shots before the fox resumed his repose and the moment was gone.

北海道の釧路湿原にあるキラコタン岬をハイキング中に、リラックスしている狐に出会いました。 彼は、顔を上げました。 私のことを見て、すぐに逃げるかなと思ったところ、私のことには全く興味を示さず、彼の興味は全く別のところで、まるで私はその場にいないかのように彼は心地よくどこか一点を見つめながら過ごしていました。私は、息を止めながら何度かシャッターを切り、彼は一瞬の時を共に過ごした直後、すぐにその場から去りました。
